Infinity Gaming Evening

It has been a stressful weekend for me, as my Grandmother was taken into hospital on Friday after having a heart attack.  She is fine (and will hopefully remain that way) but will need a pacemaker.  So we have had to postpone the Dead Man's Hand game we had planned for tomorrow, until next week, as we had set the board up for an infinity beginners evening,  fun was had, and afterwards we decided to play through the scenario again as a battle report.

We played mission 5 from Icestorm which was brutal and fun.

We used the awesome Microart studios mat for the game.  It went really well with the card scenery and is really good quality.  It is like a massive mouse mat, and lies flat on the board.  Being a bit spongy (like a mouse mat) it prevents damage to falling minis as well, which is def a plus for us with Beelzebubbles causing havoc lol.

This game ended quicker than we thought, so we had another game.  This was a home brew scenario, based on annihilation.

Instead of classified objectives and the consoles (as we decided to just have a simple fun game) we used the following extra points.

Killing opponent's Lt - 1 VP, with a bonus if you are the first to get this.

killing Assassination target (HVT deployed at least 6" from your table edge) - 1 VP

this lead to a cinematic and bloody game
